A wiki is a website that anyone can edit and is moderated by the community.  It is a platform for collectively constructing a story about a place we care about so much: Denver.  Having a wiki about Denver promotes emergent and organic interactions that can help shape the stories we tell about our community.  Together we will collect and tell the individual stories and experiences that make this place so special.

If you see something incorrect or inaccurate, you don't have to wait for anyone to fix it, just do it yourself.  See something missing, add it.  Want to start a conversation, start it here.  Remember, others can always change or veto your edits and it is a balance between openness and respect.  If you don't agree with a veto or a change, don't get mad and don't get even, get to know your neighbors.  This openness can be messy at times, but we believe it leads to a platform most representative of what the community wants.

Never be afraid to try something.  Add a page, even just a starter and let it go.  Someone else could come along and finish it.  Experiment, enjoy and learn.

IMPORTANT: In order to edit pages, you should first create an account. This is really easy and it is best to use your real name when signing up because it helps start the process of establishing identity here with other editors.  Remember, this is a platform of neighbors, not strangers.

Create a user page

Once you've created a user account, the first thing you can do is create your user page.  Click on your username in the upper righthand corner and this will take you to your user page where you can edit.  You don't have to make it fabulous yet, just put in a sentence or two about you and maybe some contact links if you want.  Whatever you want.  Need some inspiration?  Check out the People page for other users.  Also, when you're done, add your new user homepage to the list of People in the appropriate spot (alphabetical by username).
