Located in the heart of downtown. A great place to spend a few hours.
16th Street Mall is a little more than 1 mile, starting at Broadway & 16th and ending at the Denver Millennium Bridge.
The Street is closed to regular traffic; free buses traverse up and down 16th street picking up and dropping off passengers. The buses run roughly between 6 am and 1 am - and you usually are not waiting more than five minutes for the next bus. (RTD Free MallRide)
The Street is home to numerous hotels, retail, and restaurant shops; representing local and nationwide stores. Coffee shops are well represented on this stretch of road.
At the Broadway & 16th end, there's the Civic Center Park, the Capitol Building, and the US Mint (a bit further down street). The street ends with the previously mentioned Millennium Bridge - which takes you over to some additional shops, and a couple of great little parks (Centennial, Confluence, and Common Parks)
